I was looking for something quick and easy for dinner so I thought I’d make some sort of pork chops. I had some left over Parmesan cheese that I figured I should use up so off I went to fry some pork chops!
They turned out pretty well, the pan wasn’t hot enough at first so a little bit of the crust stuck to the pan …
I grated about 6 ounces of Parmesan cheese using my multi-sided cheese grater.
Added 3/4 cup of almond flour along with some salt and pepper. Mix this all together.
Whisk two eggs into a shallow bowl. Setup your dipping stations!
Here are some of the dipped chops. I had a whole large pack from BJ’s, something like 13 or 14 of them and I cooked them all up at once for the week.
I had to fry the chops in batches of three. I put some bacon fat in the bottom of the pan and sizzled away! Make sure to get the pan pretty hot or else it will stick. I pan fried these for one minute each side and then put them in a pan in the oven until complete.
Here is the finished, plated meal. I served it with Creamy Cheesy Spinach. There was a little bit of egg left over and some cheese / almond mix left over so I combined them and fried it in the same pan. It yielded the “thing” on the right and I think I may have accidentally discovered a pretty amazing creation. It was like moist fried cheese! Note that you can adjust this for less meat, just use one egg, 3 oz of cheese and 3/8 almond flour. If there is left over just combine the eggs and cheese and fry!

Hey Caveman,
I just wanted to thank you for this site. I am absolutely loving the recipes that you are making, they make Keto very easy for me!
Keep up the great work!
These were truly some of the best chops I’ve ever had. I am beyond floored by this recipe. Thank you so very much for taking the time to post this.
These porkchops were so good! They turned out just like the pics, too! I even made the cheese puff and that was tasty- what a great use for the leftover coating. Thanks for the recipe!
I made this using flax meal instead of almond flour and they were delicious. Thanks for the great recipe!
Awesome recipe!! My cast iron pan wasn’t quite hot enough either, so one side stuck pretty badly….will try again for sure!
Can’t wait to try this! Just a tiny heads up, in the recipe summary it calls for 14 pork chops and then 6 oz pork chops. I think its supposed to say Parmesan Cheese on the 2nd one. Just thought I would let you know!~
Caveman Keto, I would really appreciate it if you could reply to this question.
Do you think I’d be okay if I used coconut flour rather than almond flour?
Yeah I think it would work just as well. Coconut flour is normally a little finer than almond flour, which might work well in this case.
I know the question about coconut flour is older but I figured since no one left a comment about whether they had actually tried it this way I would leave one. I didn’t have any almond flour tonight but I did have some coconut flour and they came out so well. These are fantastic with both kinds of flour. I love you Caveman Keto. I eat a lot of yummy things because of you. 🙂
My bf has been on a low carb diet and I’ve been searching for recipes we can both agree on and these might just be the best pork chops we’ve ever eaten! Tonight I’m going to make some fried chicken breast the same way. ?
Found a random boneless pork loin chop in my freezer and made this with a partial leftover whisked egg (from a cookie recipe) and just threw together some parm and almond flour heavy on the parm. The breeding did stick to the pan but it didn’t matter I just scooped it out with a spatula and put it on top to eat. SO GOOD. Will be reprising with the random frozen chicken breasts I also found. New standby.
This recipe is very good. But since my pork chop was pretty thin (about 1 cm), I deep fried it like a tonkatsu and skip the oven part of the recipe. The breading stayed on the meat just like when cooking katsu and the meat was cooked through. It smelled and tasted heavenly. Thank you, Cavemanketo 🙂
Would love to make this for tonight’s family dinner. There are only 3 of us. Left over would be nice, but not too much.
You mentioned less meat can be done. How many chops for one egg dip?
ok. so you mentioned bacon fat, (huh?) that was not part of your instructions. Then its 14 pork chops, that’s a lot! and for only 2 eggs? don’t I have to dip the 14 chops (one at a time)into the egg batter? Please explain. Thanks.
Hey there! I’m just writing to let you know that I love all of the recipes I’ve made from this site! Everything is just delicious and your directions are so easy to follow. Can’t wait to eat these pork chops. Thanks so much!
Super amazing, looking at everyone’s comment, I dredged the patted dry pork loin chops with coconut flour, moistened in the egg dip (2 eggs with 1 tbsp water mixed thoroughly) and then dredged in the almond flour, seasonings and Parmesan cheese before putting into the highly heated grape-seed oil. I used the big red square copper kettle, and then placed the browned on both sides meet onto a cookie rack set inside of a baking sheet so heat could get all the way around the chops in the 400 degree oven.
Everything worked exactly as Caveman Keto mentioned. They were flavorful and a hit with my college age boys and husband.
I described this procedure because some people had asked about coconut flour and if the crust would stick…it sure did and was great. I even mixed the left over coconut flour with the almond flour mix and added another egg to what was left of the egg mixture, mixed, molded and fried the leftovers like medallions and put some flaked Parmesan on top after frying both sides and blotting dry. Yummy with some sliced English Cucumber.
I’ve never made fried pork chops in my life but tried this recipe last night and they came out perfectly! I also added some Italian seasoning and dry mustard to the flour and cheese mixture. I’ve always been intimidated about making fried foods, but flash frying them and finishing in the oven was perfect!
